Carpet Weaving Training Gallery

Carpet weaving is one of Afghanistan’s most celebrated living traditions—an art passed through generations and deeply tied to community identity. From Turkmeni and Baluchi to Hazaragi and Khawja Mohammadi styles, each region carries its own patterns, meanings, and craft language.

At JVTC, women trainees complete a six-month program that combines loom practice, finishing techniques, and design literacy. The center also supports the preservation of authentic Afghan motifs through a dedicated design and reference approach, helping protect heritage while strengthening pathways to income.
