Tile Making Training Gallery
Afghanistan has a rich ceramic and tile tradition shaped over centuries of craftsmanship and architectural innovation. Decorative systems such as Haft Qalam and Moarraq have long defined the visual identity of Islamic-era monuments across the country.
JVTC’s six-month tile-making course trains participants in traditional production methods—from forming and firing to surface finishing and glazing. The program also introduces apprentices to the preparation of traditional color recipes and materials used in heritage work, supporting both conservation needs and skilled employment.
